Most of us have watched Jurassic Park, haven't we? Well,   we watched those huge dinosaurs in awe and wished they were still alive! Alas, they are extinct.

The 3rd Friday in the month of May is observed as National Endangered Species Day. Not only the dinosaurs but countless others have vanished from the face of this earth!

Conservation is the key to success. Children as well as adults must be known that every species has a specific role to play and even if one specie is lost, it is irrevocable. For instance, the great Indian Bustard is on the brink of extinction. These huge birds are endemic to the arid regions of Rajasthan and our government is leaving no leaf unturned as there are only a few individuals left in the wild.

We must encourage children to participate in activities that helps in the conservation. The best example of a successful conservation effort is Project Tiger. Our country's tiger population was fast dwindling but for the timely conservation efforts, India leads in the tiger population in the world today!

As concerned public, we must conserve water, use sustainable things, learn about conservation and it's importance, educate ourselves and others as these can go a long, long way in conservation. LET US LEARN TO LIVE AND LET LIVE.
